What a crew is
A crew is a small, named group of pilots that fly together. Membership is invite-only. Mission briefings, drafts, and crew comments stay inside the crew until someone explicitly publishes a story or segment.
Roles
- Lead owns the briefing. Locks/unlocks the launch window and publishes the risk snapshot.
- Pilots see the full briefing, can comment, and confirm participation.
- Retrieve / observer roles are optional but useful when the crew runs ground support or coaching.
What stays private
- Briefing text, draft missions, and crew comments.
- Internal flight history shared with the crew.
- Personal telemetry — your IGC stays yours unless you publish.
What can become public
- Stories you publish from a mission (with your explicit consent).
- Public segment efforts you submit individually.
Moderation
Anything that escapes the crew (story, segment effort) is subject to public moderation. See safety stance for what we expect of community content.
