horiznlab is a community-sourced planning and orientation tool for paragliding. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.

These terms and conditions govern your access to and use of horiznlab.

1. Service Provider

horiznlab is operated by Magnus Ohle (Haaggasse 10, 72070 Tübingen, Germany). For contact details, see Legal Notice.

2. Planning-Only Tool (Not Flight Instruction)

Paragliding is an inherently dangerous sport. The platform provides data visualization and community notes only. It is not a substitute for professional training, weather forecasting, airspace checks, or sound judgment.

You are solely responsible for your decision to launch, fly, and land. horiznlab accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from flight activities or reliance on platform information.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us.

4. User Obligations (Permissions and Local Rules)

You must respect landowner permission, access restrictions, local club rules, seasonal closures, and applicable laws and regulations. If a launch/landing is restricted, you must not use platform content to justify access.

5. User Conduct

Do not use the service to harass others, post hate speech, or upload illegal content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. User-Generated Content (UGC)

You retain ownership of your content (e.g., flight logs, photos, notes). By uploading it, you grant horiznlab a license to store, display, and analyze it to provide the service.

You must only upload content you have the rights to share and that does not violate third-party rights or laws.

7. Takedown and Reporting

If you believe content is illegal, unsafe, or incorrect, please report it via /report. We may remove or restrict content at our discretion.

8. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features and these Terms may change over time. Material changes may require re-acceptance.

9. Data Rights and Exports

Where required by applicable law, you may request access, export, or deletion of your personal data. For self-service access, visit /gdpr.
